FAQ's about prints
How do I remove the background from my images?
If using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate or others, there is an option to export your file as a PNG without the background.
Here are some free options:
-
Adobe Photoshop Express: This is a free online image editor that is perfect for simple images.
-
GIMP: It is a free, open-source image editing program that requires installation (find an image removal tutorial here).
-
Photopea: This is another free online image editor and an alternative to Adobe Photoshop (image removal tutorial here).
-
Fotor: Fotor is an online image editor with a free trial available, serving as an alternative to Adobe Photoshop.
Where on the item can I print?
Different items allow you to print in different places. We’re constantly working to increase the level of customization you can achieve. If the placement you are looking to achieve isn't available, please contact us and we will see what we can do!

Is there any extra charge for the print?
The following charge will be added for each side of the product where a print is added.
Front print - $3.00
Back print - $3.00
Right sleeve print - $3.00
Left sleeve print - $3.00
Neck tag print - $1.00
Will I still own my design if I customize an item with it?
Yes. Tapstich will never use your designs for any purpose other than producing your order without your permission.
Is there any color difference between the online design and the final garment?
We do our best to make items look on Tapstich’s website how they will in real life, but slight color differences are normal, specifically:
- Apparel may have slightly differently colored fabric from order to order because there is always some variation in the dying process;
- Printed colors may come out slightly differently depending on the fabric/material they are printed onto.
Production Variations: The final print size may vary slightly due to production processes.
-
Error Margin: The variation in size is typically within a reasonable error margin (e.g., <10%).
-
Quality Assurance: Adjustments are made to ensure the highest print quality.
Garment Fit: Your designs will be adjusted based on the product size you select. If the product size is smaller than the reference size, the designs on the front and back will be scaled down to fit the garment's size. Conversely, if the product size is the same or larger than the reference size, your design dimensions will be scaled up to fit the garment's size.
